Bleiwyss "The Butcher" Blaetwyn
Purveyor and processor of fine meats both exotic and domestic
Born into poverty in the desert town of Ul'dah, Bleiwyss follows in the footsteps of her mother, who began supplementing the meat sold from their butcher shop with cheaper "meat" from the black markets of Ul'dah.Bleiwyss specializes in procuring and preparing exotic meats for Ul'dah's moneyed elites, the Monetarists, while making a name as a high-quality meat supplier to those on the street. Only those "in the know" know her as more than than open, jovial, honest-faced tradesperson she presents herself as in her shop.Motivated more by the desire to be the best in cooking and preparation than gil, she is constantly pursuing opportunities to expand her cooking from mere butchery. However, she knows that gil is so often considered equivalent to quality, so she is sure to charge what her time, effort, and risk are worth.Bleiwyss occasionally has an odd job available for a discreet adventurer, although whether or not they will be around for a second job is a matter of speculation.
Associations
Getu
Getu was born in the Azim Steppe, outcast from his tribe, and came to Ul'dah seeking what many do - fame and fortune as a gladiator. However, he discovered that life is somewhat more accepting - and better paid - as Bleiwyss' butcher apprentice.
Alcred Sadler
A low level conjurer who manages to be forgettable to people who just talked to him; nevertheless he has some skill with modifying spells that Bleiwyss has found useful - and keeps him in gil, which is more than most conjurers of his level could hope for.
The Rosenthal Post
A news agency home to a determined news reporter and a few others, Bleiwyss keeps their larder stocked as well as cooking for events hosted by the news agency. As long as they accept the answer of "it's pork," they're likely to be fine - at least, from Bleiwyss' perspective.
Okoto-Ryu Dojo
A recently opened dojo
with a noodle shop and connections to the Syndicate, Bleiwyss is leveraging her connections to not only secure a place in the kitchen, but to expand her knowledge of Eastern flavors and cuisine.
